For my cheat meal this week, I waited until Sunday and had some gnocchi with meat sauce and Italian bread. It was so good, and I ate way too much. I knew I shouldn't have done it, and in the end, I was right. I was up most of the night with indigestion, and just generally felt like shit the next 2 days. I have to realize the metamorphosis going on inside my body as well, as I've become accustomed to eating less and not pigging out. I overdid it. I paid. I will try not to do it again.
As some of you know, I had back surgery this year. I still suffer a good amount of pain, and am looking at trying acupuncture in the near future. A friend of mine is a practitioner, and I'm gonna give it a shot. I know the more weight I lose, the easier it will be on my back. Definitely have to strengthen the core muscles. I haven't been to the gym in a week, but a lot of that is due to my back pain. I can work out one day and be in pain for several days. I have to find something that works for me. Hopefully acupuncture will help.
Saturday I went shopping for the week at Whole Foods. I like the place because they have a lot of healthy stuff you can't find anywhere else. But what I detest is the attitude of most of the people that shop there. I nearly got ran over by some guy running down an aisle. He had an air of douchebag entitlement about him. Like I was invisible because he had to get back in line before his wife in the Range Rover came looking for him in the store.
I swear, the next time I encounter this shit, I'm gonna trip the guy. We're buying groceries here pal, it's not a timed obstacle course, and the store isn't on fire. Now go choke on your $7 organic apple!
